a slower start to the morning, although I was up and about at normal sort of time. Motorway was very quiet as I walked down to the shop.
Spent the morning at house. Naomi and Sarah paying crosshandsnwhile I played with Elizabeth: upstairs, downstairs, outside, walking round the woods with a wheelbarrow.
Some time after 11am started to get ready to leave. Drove to Lancaster train station. Saw Sarah and Elizabeth off on train at midday back to London.
We then drove to Ashton Hall garden centre, looked round outdoor plants, had lunch and bought compost and fat balls for birds and then headed home.
A6 was very busy heading south. Found out why as we crossed bridge and it was stationery on the southbound carriageway.
I did some path clearing and weeding.
Roasted some of our left-over veg for tea. Never used a patty pan squash before.
