Diary – 10th October 2015

its Saturday but I was out of bed at 6.30am – even earlier than a weekday. Out of house shortly after 7.30am, drove down to village, collected newspapers and drove back up lane to deliver Tony’s and then back through village and along back lanes via Quernmore to Caton.

Met others at Bull Beck for a LBC men’s walk. There were about a dozen of us, same number as a prayer breakfast but some different people. Set off from car park along old railway but shortly turned right to take path alongside river. I had guessed we were doing a linear walk along the railway track so was wearing trainers. It didn’t take long before my feet were wet. Apart from that it was a very nice morning; lovely views, good conversation and v peaceful. Went as far as Crook O’Lune and then returned along railway track. Fitbit said I walked 6.7km in about an hour and half.

Had an ice cream after while everyone else had full breakfasts. And then drove home.

Hung around house for the afternoon. Had the remains of beetroot soup for lunch, tacked some liner into the homemade planter, watched some rugby on TV.

Out again in the evening. Drove with Naomi to the Clarendon Hotel at Morecambe. Celebrating Shona finishing her exams after x years. Where x is far too many. I had prawn skewers to start, a lamb shank and sticky toffee pudding. Ended up a rather late night – bed at midnight.
