Diary – 24th November 2015

And back to work…

It was hard to get out of bed at 6.45am. Weather was showery. We started early birds indoors and everyone was playing nicely, boys doing magic tricks with cards. Rain had stopped and I was just about to get children to tidy up and go outside when headmistress appeared at door and told kids to do exactly that. So we had a little while outside before I left to head home.

Naomi was having a day at home so I had a quiet morning before she got up.

We had pea soup for lunch.

And I had a free afternoon: listening to readers was cancelled because of the dance festival.

Had to find a geocache. Drove to Forton. Looked for one by the church that I’ve looked for previously and still couldn’t see it so gave up. Tried for another that involved reading names on the war memorial and then going for a walk along Wallace Lane and a good result.
I’d got some chicken out of the freezer for tea but it was still frozen by tea time so the alternative was the chippy. It’s much quieter on a Tuesday than a Friday!!

And then we had a quiet evening at home.
