Diary – 10th January 2015

Got up at 8am. Aware there had been a lot of rain overnight so had a look from snug at stream. It hasn’t got as high as the bridge.

Had breakfast watching TV. Noticed cat had retreated into the box we had made for her.  Naomi was awake so said good morning and then left in a car to Lancaster. River Wyre was very high below bridge, road was very wet but not flooded.

LBC morning service was good. No Lighthouse and no AV so I could sit downstairs for sermon. First one in a series about Joseph. “if Romans is the manual, Joseph is the first example”.  Chatted to a few people and then came home.

A simple lunch of soup.

Paul and Denise and Ruth turned up and the four of us went for a walk up Nicky Nook. Stopped at top to admire view and all the flooding

And then dropped down into Grizedale to come home and along Higher Lane and Tithe Barn Lane. Took about 1 1/2 hours. A quick drink and chat and they left.

We had left-over curry for tea.

And watched TV until bed-time.
