Diary – Thursday 24th May 2018

Another good sleep.

Up at 7am, cooked breakfast.

Walked to Canada Water, tube to London Bridge.

Did tour of Golden Hinde. In two groups so lots of hanging around. Mrs H took us on a tour of Borough Market and then after boat tour girls wanted to buy hot chocolates.

Then we walked to National Gallery. Had lunch in one of the School rooms. Then a talk at three different paintings.

Then walked from there along Northumberland ave and across river to London Eye.

Inside first for 4D experience. Then a short queue to get on the Eye. Weather had improved so views weren’t too bad.

Look round gift shop, bought ice cream and sat in park for a while.

Took a roundabout walk from there to Westminster to get tube back. Leader hadn’t realised Waterloo was so much easier.

Sausage and mash for tea.

Walked out to park again. Rob and Hilary came.

We were back at hostel for 9pm and lights out at 9.30pm.
