Diary – Friday 21st September 2018

Up at 6.45am, breakfast and out at 7.40am.

Kids arrived at Early Birds right from 8am start. Happy memories of last year when I was often alone on a Friday until even 8.20am. But didn’t get very busy and everyone was doing something.

A quick visit to vicarage. Anton left me alone to do copying. Walked home via churches to deliver news sheets.

Read paper, dealt with email, tidied kitchen.

Back down to village and stopped at Methodist chapel for Macmillan coffee morning. sat with Colin and chatted a bit.

Then took Pluto for usual walk round block and returned home.

Today I was very fortunate to miss all the heavy downpours while I was out.

Lunch and then out to Calder Vale for minibus run. Got there in time for end-of-week worship. Drama on minibus as someone noticed a spider and one girl had a complete meltdown.

Got home in time for end of Tipping Point.

Had pizza for tea and spent evening in snug. Made first fire of the year. Relieved that jackdaws hadn’t blocked chimney. Did Lighthouse preparation.

Bed at 10.30pm
