Diary – Saturday 6th October 2018

Up at 7.30am, I think. Had a go in hot tub but it wasn’t working very well.

Had a huge Yorkshire fried breakfast in restaurant.

Bit of chat with family and then we left.

Drove to Middlesbrough

Visited Richard and Betty at care home. Took Richard upstairs and sat with Betty until lunchtime.

Then drove round to house. Surprised to find keys on inside of front door. Took a few things and all the bags of rubbish.

Drove to tip at Haverton Hill to get rid of rubbish. Then drove along Portrack Lane to Stockton and parked by North Shore. Walked along river bank to barrage and watched white water canoes. Crossed river and walked back through university campus. Had to look at map afterwards to see we had been walking through what had been ironworks.

Back to car and we set off heading home. Stopped at Mainsgill Farm. Had a drink and cream tea and then a bit of shopping. A bit later stopped at Kirkby Stephen station for a short walk. And then continued home.

Didn’t have long at home before walking down to village for Kirstine’s party at The Barn. Drank G&T until Jo turned up and bought us champagne. Danced a bit. Left at 11pm to walk home.
