Diary – Wednesday 24th April 2019

Up at 6.40am, breakfast and then I got busy in the kitchen and was a bit late leaving the house.

Ha ha, some kids waiting at school cos parents had got confused about what day of the week it was.

Early Birds went OK, seems to be busy every day now.

Off to church for prayer meeting. We started with a bit of a dispute over the cross and whether there should be a figure in it when we are celebrating the resurrection. And then a quick meeting at the vicarage over tea and hot cross bun.

Came home.

More laundry, work in the office but too tired to do a row.

More leftovers for lunch. Interesting combination of crumpet and shredded duck.

And back down to school for after-school club. Started outside in sun with fifteen kids, came indoors for snack as numbers fell and then most sat in library and watched a film. Finished late at 6pm due to staff meeting.

Walked home listening to distant thunder and got wet from rain, had a microwave meal for tea.

And then off to Lancaster for connect group meeting. Missing two but we had a good chat about the breastplate of righteousness.

Drove home, sat in snug with a glass of wine and did FaceTime before bed.
